For his important work as editor of the ABC daily newspaper and the hundred-year-old magazine, Blanco y Negro, of deep and on-going influence in Spanish society, as well has for his loyalty to his living feeling for tradition, history and the defence of liberties. Likewise, the Jury has taken into account the singular dedication of ABC to culture and the arts and its special attention to Hispanic values world wide.
