Princess of Asturias Awards 10/14/2016

General Programme for the visit of their majesties the King and Queen of Spain on the occasion of the 2016 Princess Awards Ceremony

THURSDAY, 20th OCTOBER

  • 7:30pm  TM The King and Queen will preside over the 25th Princess of Asturias Awards Concert, organized by the Princess of Asturias Foundation in collaboration with the Cajastur Liberbank Foundation. The concert will be held in the Prince Felipe Auditorium in Oviedo. The Princess of Asturias Foundation Choir will perform Symphony No. 9 in D minor, Op. 125 “Choral” by Ludwig van Beethoven alongside the Principality of Asturias Symphony Orchestra (OSPA) under the baton of Rossen Milanov and with the participation of soloists Sonja Gornik (soprano), Olesya Petrova (mezzo-soprano), Daniel Kirch (tenor) and Alexey Dedov (bass-baritone).

    11:20am 2016 Medals of Asturias holders.

    11:40am. University of Oviedo 2015 End-of-Studies Prize-winners.

  • Audiences in the “Salón Covadonga” at the Reconquista Hotel

    12:30pm   Audience of the chairs of the Juries, the members of the Princess of Asturias and Foundation Boards of Trustees and the 2016 Princess of Asturias Laureates with TM The King and Queen.

SATURDAY, 22nd OCTOBER

  • 11:30am  Visit to the region of Los Oscos, formed by the western boroughs of San Martín de Oscos/Samartín d’Ozcos, Santa Eulalia de Oscos/Santalla d’Ozcos and Villanueva de Oscos/Vilanova d’Ozcos, for the bestowal of the Exemplary Town of Asturias Award.
