Princess of Asturias Awards 10/18/2010

Opening of the photographic exhibition on Richard Serra’s work, as part of the Prince of Asturias Awards Presentation Week

The event  took place on Tuesday, 19th October, at the Fine Arts Museum of Asturias, in Oviedo.

The Prince of Asturias Foundation, in collaboration with the Fine Arts Museum of Asturias, has organised, as part of the events during the Prince of Asturias Awards Week, a photographic exhibition on the work of the sculptor Richard Serra, 2010 Prince of Asturias Award laureate for the Arts.   

The exhibition opened on Tuesday, 19th October, at 7.00 p.m. in the Fine Arts Museum of Asturias, in Oviedo. Attending the event were: the Regional Minister of Culture of the Principality of Asturias Mercedes Álvarez, the Director of the Prince of Asturias Foundation Teresa Sanjurjo, and the Director of the Fine Arts Museum Emilio Marcos Vallaure.

The exhibition follows the evolution of Richard Serra’s work, including 32 pictures and a selection of pieces by Spanish artists, amongst them the 1988 Prince of Asturias Award laureate for the Arts, Jorge Oteiza.
