Princess of Asturias Awards 10/13/2017

General Programme for the visit of their majesties the King and Queen of Spain on the occasion of the 2017 Princess Awards Ceremony

THURSDAY, 19th OCTOBER

  • 7:30pm  TM The King and Queen will preside over the 26th Princess of Asturias Awards Concert, organized by the Princess of Asturias Foundation in collaboration with the Cajastur Liberbank Foundation. The concert will be held in the Prince Felipe Auditorium in Oviedo. The Princess of Asturias Foundation Choir will perform Ivan the Terrible, op.116 by Serguéi Prokófiev alongside the Principality of Asturias Symphony Orchestra (OSPA) under the baton of Miquel Ortega and with the participation of soloists María Luisa Corbacho (mezzo-soprano) and Alfredo García (baritone), with Jorge Moreno as narrator.

  • Audiences in the “Salón de Consejos” at the Reconquista Hotel

    11:20am 2017 Medals of Asturias holders.

    11:40am University of Oviedo 2016 End-of-Studies Prize-winners.

  • Audiences in the “Salón Covadonga” at the Reconquista Hotel

    12:30pm   Audience of the chairs of the Juries, the members of the Princess of Asturias and Foundation Boards of Trustees and the 2017 Princess of Asturias Laureates with TM The King and Queen.
