Princess of Asturias Awards 10/09/2020

General programme for the visit of TM The King and Queen of Spain and TRH The Princess of Asturias and the Infanta Sofía on the occasion of the 2020 Princess of Asturias Awards

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 15

  • .6:30 P.M. Their Majesties the King and Queen and Their Royal Highnesses the Princess of Asturias and the Infanta Sofia will visit the permanent installations of the “LAFPABRICA. Awards Factory,” organized by the Princess of Asturias Foundation for the presentation of the awards. (In the old La Vega Arms Factory, located on Marcelino Fernández Street, Oviedo).

    INFORMATION FOR THE PRESS:
    - Members of the media must be present at 5:30 PM

    - Access will be limited to one reporter and one photographer/camera operator per media outlet.

    - A press pool may be allowed inside.

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 16

  • Audience in the Reconquista Hotel’s Patio de los Gatos

    12.30 P.M. The jury presidents, members of the Princess of Asturias and Foundation boards and the 2020 Princess of Asturias Laureates will have an audience with Their Majesties the King and Queen and Their Royal Highnesses the Princess of Asturias and the Infanta Sofia.

    INFORMATION FOR THE PRESS:
    - Press pool inside the hall.

  • Presentation of the 2020 Princess of Asturias Awards in the Reconquista Hotel’s Covadonga Hall

    6:30 P.M. The presentation of the 2020 Princess of Asturias Awards, presided by Their Majesties the King and Queen and Their Royal Highnesses the Princess of Asturias and the Infanta Sofia.
    Speech by Her Royal Highness the Princess of Asturias.
    Speech by His Majesty the King, closing the event.

    INFORMATION FOR THE PRESS:
    -   Press pool inside the Covadonga Hall.

    -   Press pool in the Patio de la Reina, also in the Reconquista Hotel.

    -   Reporters (one per media outlet) may follow the event via a live broadcast that will be screened in another room in the Hotel.

    -   Space will be provided for television media to broadcast live from inside the Hotel..

    SATURDAY, OCTOBER 17

    • 11:00 A.M. Their Majesties the King and Queen and Their Royal Highnesses the Princess of Asturias and the Infanta Sofia will visit Somao, Pravia to present the 2020 Princess of Asturias Exemplary Town of Asturias Award.
      Speech by Her Royal Highness the Princess of Asturias.
      Speech by His Majesty the King, closing the event.

      INFORMATION FOR THE PRESS:
      -    Press pool and access will be restricted to graphic media in certain spaces.

      -    The coverage of the visit will be limited to one reporter and one photographer/camera operator per media outlet.

DUE TO THE COVID-19 PREVENTION MEASURES, ACCESS TO THE VARIOUS EVENTS WILL BE HIGHLY RESTRICTED AND SUBJECT TO FULL COMPLIANCE WITH THE ESTABLISHED RULES.
