PRESS CONFERENCES PROGRAMME

FRIDAY, 21st OCTOBER

  • 10.30am The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the Paris Agreement, Princess of Asturias Award for International Cooperation, with Patricia Espinosa, Executive Secretary of the UNFCCC and Christiana Figueres, former Executive Secretary.

ACTIVITY PROGRAMME

FRIDAY, 21st OCTOBER

  • 11.00am “Visual Arts”. Richard Kinley, Deputy Executive Secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, joint Princess of Asturias Award for International Cooperation along with the Paris Agreement, will view the selection of works that primary, secondary and pre-university pupils have created using recycled materials to contribute to the sustainability of the planet. As a tribute, artist Israel Sastre will create a composition of recycled materials. 

    This activity forms part of the “Taking the Floor” initiative, the cultural programme that the Princess of Asturias Foundation has developed for primary, secondary and pre-university pupils in the Principality.
