In his essay titled In the Swarm, Byung-Chul Han points out that “digital hypercommunication destroys the silence that the soul needs to reflect and be itself. Only noise is perceived, meaningless, without coherence.” This deep breathing practice is intended as a way of returning to corporeality in a digital world.
