“Genuine Curiosity”
Date and time: Tuesday, 15 October 2019. 07:30PM h.
Place: City of Oviedo Exhibition and Conference Centre (Calle Arturo Alvarez Buylla, Oviedo).
Admission by invitation for members of the participating book clubs and free admission for the public until all remaining seats are taken. Simultaneous translation will be available at the event.
A meeting with book clubs. Siri Hustvedt will meet with more than 1,700 members of Spanish book clubs, 1,100 of whom are members of clubs belonging to the Principality of Asturias Public Libraries Network. They will also be joined by more than 600 attendees from book clubs from Cantabria, Castile-La Mancha, Castile and León, Galicia, Navarre, the Basque Country and Murcia. During the event, journalist Martín Rodrigo, who will act as moderator, will review the Laureate’s career and pass on a selection of questions previously posed by members of these book clubs. In all, 142 clubs will attend the event (67 from Asturias and 75 from other regions).
