intervención del alcalde Jesús M. Bordás Vargas.
Tras la lectura del acta, Don Felipe hizo entrega del
galardón a Antonio Álvarez Boeta y a Román Díaz
Obeso, socios fundadores de la Asociación de Festejos
“La Asunción” de Colombres, y su vocal pronunció
unas palabras de agradecimiento. Seguidamente, S.M.
el Rey tomó la palabra para felicitar a los colombrinos
por el galardón. Tras escuchar el himno de Asturias,
interpretado por la Coral de Ribadedeva, los Reyes
accedieron al interior de la Quinta Guadalupe, que a
lo largo de los años se destinó a diversos fines sociales
hasta que en 1987 pasó a ser la sede de la Fundación
Archivo de Indianos-Museo de la Emigración. SS.MM.
recorrieron diversas estancias del Museo y saludaron
a los miembros del Patronato Internacional de la
Fundación Archivo de Indianos. La visita oficial
concluyó con el tradicional almuerzo de campo,
ofrecido por la Fundación Princesa de Asturias y los
vecinos de Colombres en honor de SS.MM. los Reyes.

the reading of the Minutes of the Jury, King Felipe
presented the Award to Antonio Álvarez Boeta and
Román Díaz Obeso, founding members of the La
Asunción Festive Association of Colombres, and a
spokesperson for the association offered words of
thanks. His Majesty The King then took the floor
to congratulate the people of Colombres for the
Award. After hearing the Asturian anthem, sung by
the Ribadedeva Choir, Their Majesties visited the
Quinta Guadalupe Villa, which was used for various
social purposes over the years until finally housing
the Indiano Archives Foundation and Emigration
Museum in 1987. Their Majesties toured several
rooms in the museum and greeted the members of
the International Board of Trustees of the Indiano
Archives Foundation. The official visit concluded
with the traditional picnic lunch hosted by the
Foundation and the residents of Colombres in
honour of TM The King and Queen.
