Earle in her mission to preserve the oceans. Students set out their commitment to changing consumer and recycling habits on an illustrated wallchart. In all, 350 wallcharts were produced by 2,995 students. In addition, teachers at the La Laboral vocational training school in Gijón manufactured two recycling machines that they showed the Laureate in her meeting with students at the Doña Jimena state secondary school in Gijón. Earle en su misión de conservación de los océanos y que reflejaran en una lámina ilustrada su compromiso con el cambio de hábitos de consumo y reciclaje. Se presentaron 350 trabajos elaborados entre 2.995 alumnos. Además, profesores del CIFP de La Laboral de Gijón fabricaron dos máquinas de reciclaje que mostraron a la galardonada en su encuentro con los alumnos en el IES Doña Jimena de Gijón. Journalists with a Soul This activity for 3rd and 4th year secondary school and pre-university students consisted in producing a newspaper to disseminate the social, cultural and historical aspects of the borough to which the school belongs. In all, 526 students from 25 different schools participated in the activity, presenting 46 newspapers which were later shown at an exhibition that was opened during a meeting with Alma Guillermoprieto at the Sánchez Lastra state secondary school in Mieres. Periodistas con Alma Actividad destinada a alumnos de 3.º y 4.º de ESO y Bachillerato, consistente en la elaboración de un periódico donde divulgar los aspectos sociales, culturales e históricos del concejo al que perteneciera el centro educativo. Participaron 526 alumnos de 25 centros diferentes y fueron presentados 46 periódicos, que posteriormente se mostraron en una exposición inaugurada durante un encuentro con Alma Guillermoprieto en el Instituto Sánchez Lastra de Mieres.
