El acto concluyó con el himno de Asturias, interpretado por la Banda de Música de Pravia, que amenizó diversos momentos de la visita. Tras reanudar el recorrido, se detuvieron a las puertas de la escuela, donde compartieron conversación y saludos con un grupo de escolares y sus docentes, que les hicieron entrega de dibujos y ramos de flores de papel. Posteriormente, accedieron a la iglesia de Santa Eulalia de Mérida de Somao para continuar después el paseo a pie hasta la conocida como Casa Amarilla, desde cuya balconada principal, con espectaculares vistas de la rasa costera, la Familia Real se despidió de Somao y sus vecinos.
