Jeffrey M. Friedman (Orlando, USA, 1954) graduated in Medicine from Albany Medical College, where he completed his residency as a physician. He pursued a postgraduate fellowship at Cornell University Medical College and subsequently earned a PhD from Rockefeller University. His professional career has been linked to the Howard Hughes Institute at this same university, where he holds the Marilyn M. Simpson Professorship. According to Scopus, he has published 238 scientific articles, has been cited 59 201 times and has an h -index of 90.
