LA PRINCESA DE ASTURIAS EVENTS HONOURING THE 10TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE HONORARY PRESIDENCY OF H.R.H. THE PRINCESS OF ASTURIAS La Fundación amplió en 2024 las actividades de la Semana de los Premios para conmemorar el décimo aniversario de Su Alteza Real la Princesa de Asturias como Presidenta de Honor de la institución y tras alcanzar la mayoría de edad. Con este propósito, diez premiados de ediciones anteriores participaron en los actos culturales organizados los días previos a la ceremonia. Carmen Linares (2022), María Pagés (2022), Ingrid Daubechies (2020), JuanMayorga (2022), Siri Hustvedt (2019), John Banville (2014), Leonardo Padura (2015), Jeffrey Gordon (2023), Lindsey Vonn (2019) y Teresa Perales (2021) mantuvieron encuentros con públicos generales y específicos, visitaron centros educativos y participaron en espectáculos artísticos. Cabe destacar los encuentros con clubes de lectura de bibliotecas públicas de distintos puntos de España, que cada año leen y analizan la obra de algunos de los galardonados. Este año, además del acto con Ana Blandiana, asistieron a una lectura dramatizada protagonizada por JuanMayorga y a un coloquio entre Leonardo Padura y John Banville. In 2024, the Foundation extended the activities of Awards Week to mark the ten years Her Royal Highness The Princess of Asturias has been Honorary President of the institution and following her coming of age. With this aim inmind, ten Laureates from previous years participated in the cultural events organized in the days leading up to the Awards Ceremony. Carmen Linares (2022), María Pagés (2022), Ingrid Daubechies (2020), JuanMayorga (2022), Siri Hustvedt (2019), John Banville (2014), Leonardo Padura (2015), Jeffrey Gordon (2023), Lindsey Vonn (2019) and Teresa Perales (2021) met with general and specific audiences, visited centres of education and participated in artistic performances. Likewise worth highlighting were the meetings with book clubs linked to public libraries in different parts of Spain, which each year read and analyse the work of some of the Laureates. This year, in addition to the event with Ana Blandiana, members of these clubs attended a dramatized reading featuring JuanMayorga and a dialogue between Leonardo Padura and John Banville.
