56 Princess of Asturias Foundation ANNUAL REPORT 2024 PRINCESS OF ASTURIAS AWARDS. ORGANIZATION AND IMPACT Visitas a centros educativos Cerca de 1800 estudiantes de 19 centros educativos del Principado de Asturias asistieron a las 26 presentaciones —que miembros del equipo de la Fundación llevaron a cabo entre noviembre de 2023 y diciembre de 2024—, con el fin de acercarles la labor de la institución y sus Premios. Visits to schools Nearly 1800 students from 19 schools in the Principality of Asturias attended the 26 presentations given by members of the Foundation’s team between November 2023 and December 2024 aimed familiarising themwith the work of the institution and its Awards. Proyectos con la comunidad educativa Projects carried out with schools Otras actividades Other activities Red Panhispánica de Lenguaje Claro y Accesible La Fundación se ha adscrito a la Red Panhispánica de Lenguaje Claro y Accesible, que agrupa instituciones públicas y privadas del ámbito hispanohablante para promover el uso de un lenguaje claro como base de valores democráticos y de ciudadanía. Entre sus miembros se encuentran instituciones como la OEI, el Tribunal Supremo y la Academia Norteamericana de la Lengua Española. La Red ha publicado la Guía panhispánica de lenguaje claro y accesible , que aborda principios de lenguaje claro en áreas como el derecho, la medicina y la administración, tratando aspectos como gramática, género, accesibilidad visual, auditiva y cognitiva. Su objetivo es facilitar la comprensión de términos técnicos y servir como referencia universal para futuras guías, siguiendo normas de la RAE y ASALE (Asociación de Academias de la Lengua Española). Pan-Hispanic Network for Plain and Accessible Language The Foundation has joined the Pan-Hispanic Network for Plain and Accessible Language, which brings together public and private institutions in the Spanish-speaking world to promote the use of plain language as a basis for democratic and civic values. Its members include institutions such as the OEI, Spain’s Supreme Court and the North American Academy of the Spanish Language. The Network has published a Pan-Hispanic Guide to Plain and Accessible Language , which addresses the principles of plain language in areas such as law, medicine and administration, dealing with aspects such as grammar, gender, visual, auditory and cognitive accessibility. Its goal is to facilitate the understanding of technical terms and serve as a universal reference for future guides, following the standards of the RAE (Royal Spanish Academy) and ASALE (Association of Academies of the Spanish Language)
