57 Fundación Princesa de Asturias MEMORIA 2024 PREMIOS PRINCESA DE ASTURIAS. ORGANIZACIÓN E IMPACTO www.fpa.es Carmen y María. Dos caminos y una mirada Bajo el título Carmen y María. Dos caminos y una mirada , la Fundación realizó un documental de producción propia sobre la creación artística, inspirado en las figuras de la cantaora Carmen Linares y la bailaora María Pagés. Esta obra audiovisual supone la primera producción documental de la Fundación Princesa de Asturias, que busca difundir la obra de los galardonados a través de distintos formatos. En el verano de 2022, con motivo de la concesión del Premio Princesa de Asturias de las Artes, ambas artistas emprendieron un proceso creativo que daría lugar al espectáculo que da título a este documental y que fue presentado en el Auditorio Príncipe Felipe de Oviedo la víspera de la ceremonia, en presencia de Sus Majestades los Reyes y de Sus Altezas Reales la Princesa de Asturias y la Infanta doña Sofía. Rodado durante los ensayos previos, ese trabajo es el punto de partida del documental que refleja las experiencias vividas por las galardonadas con motivo de la entrega de los Premios, así como sus reflexiones acerca del arte flamenco. Su estreno tuvo lugar el 8 de marzo de 2024 en la 27.ª edición del Festival de Málaga y, posteriormente, se ha exhibido en el Festival Internacional de Santander, en el I Festival de Cine Flamenco de Granada, en la XXIII Bienal de Flamenco de Sevilla y en el VIII Festival Flamenco Mediterráneo. Además, ha sido incluido en la sección oficial del Cal Film Festival (Los Ángeles) y del Festival Internacional de Cine de Aviñón. Su presentación en Asturias tuvo lugar el pasado 12 de octubre, como acto de apertura de la Semana de los Premios, y, en noviembre, pudo verse en un pase especial en la 62.ª edición del Festival Internacional de Cine de Gijón (FICX). Two paths, but one gaze , the Foundation produced an in-house documentary on artistic creation inspired by the figures of flamenco singer Carmen Linares and flamenco dancer María Pagés. This audiovisual piece is the first documentary produced by the Princess of Asturias Foundation, which seeks to disseminate the work of its Laureates via different formats. Tomark the conferral of the 2022 Princess of Asturias Award for the Arts, in the summer of that same year the two artists embarked on a creative process that was to later give rise to the performance that lends its name to this documentary, subsequently premiered at the Prince Felipe Auditorium inOviedo on the eve of the Awards Ceremony in the presence of Their Majesties The King and Queen and Their Royal Highnesses The Princess of Asturias and Infanta Sofía of Spain. Filmed during the pre-rehearsals for the show, this work is the starting point of the documentary that reflects the Laureates’ experiences on the occasion of the Awards Ceremony, as well as their reflections on flamenco art. The documentary was premiered on 8thMarch 2024 at the 27thMálaga FilmFestival and has subsequently been screened at the Santander International FilmFestival, the 1st Granada Flamenco FilmFestival, the 23rd Seville Flamenco Biennial and the 8thMediterranean Flamenco Festival. It has also been included in the official sections of the Cal FilmFestival (Los Angeles) and Avignon International FilmFestival, respectively. It was presented in Asturias on 12thOctober, as the opening event of the AwardsWeek, and was shown inNovember in a special screening at the 62nd edition of the Gijón International FilmFestival (FICX).
