9 Fundación Princesa de Asturias MEMORIA 2025 www.fpa.es Presentamos en esta Memoria un resumen de la actividad desarrollada acompañado de los principales datos económicos y de participación que sintetizan nuestra tarea tras un año de trabajo y dedicación intensa a nuestros objetivos. Nuestra labor continúa guiada por la voluntad de acercar a toda la sociedad el ejemplo de nuestros premiados y lograr que los valores que representan contribuyan a fortalecer la convivencia y el desarrollo. Esta aspiración quedó reflejada en las palabras de Su Alteza Real la Princesa de Asturias, a quien Su Majestad el Rey otorgó un papel más destacado en la pasada ceremonia. Durante su intervención en el Teatro Campoamor, afirmó: «Tiene sentido cuidar y defender los valores que, como españoles y europeos, en realidad como ciudadanos de cualquier lugar, nos definen y nos guían». En esa búsqueda de sentido, y en el empeño por construir una red de referencias y modelos en los que todos podamos reconocernos, no escatimamos esfuerzos. Así lo hacemos con la organización de la Semana de los Premios, que este año incluyó 80 actos culturales con la participación de todos los galardonados y la asistencia de más de 40 000 personas. A ello se suman las actividades de la décima edición del programa educativo «Toma la palabra», que recibió 7613 trabajos procedentes de 159 centros, tanto del Principado de Asturias como de otras comunidades autónomas. La entrega del Premio al Pueblo Ejemplar de Asturias, la décimo cuarta edición de los Encuentros de Pueblos Ejemplares, la exposición dedicada a las comunidades galardonadas y los conciertos de nuestro Coro —especialmente el celebrado por el X aniversario de la Proclamación de Su Majestad el Rey Felipe VI— completan un año que refleja nuestra voluntad y nuestro entusiasmo por seguir adelante. Todo ello ha sido posible gracias al compromiso de tantas personas que comparten nuestra ilusión. Quiero subrayar el apoyo constante de Sus Majestades los Reyes y de Sus Altezas Reales la Princesa de Asturias y la Infanta doña Sofía, así como la generosidad de nuestros patronos y miembros protectores y la valiosa labor de los jurados. Reafirmamos así nuestra vocación de servicio con la convicción de que, gracias a esta responsabilidad colectiva, podemos contribuir a un impacto duradero y de verdadero valor para la sociedad. In this Annual Report we present a summary of the activities we have carried out, along with key information and figures regarding finances and participation that summarize our undertakings after a year of intense work and dedication to our goals. Our efforts continue to be guided by the desire to make the example of our Laureates better known to society at large and ensure that the values they represent contribute to strengthening coexistence and development. This aspiration was reflected in the words of Her Royal Highness The Princess of Asturias, to whom His Majesty The King ceded a more prominent role in the past ceremony. During her speech at the Campoamor Theatre, she stated “It makes sense to protect and defend the values which define and guide us as Spaniards and Europeans, in fact as citizens of any place.” We spare no effort in this pursuit of meaning and in our endeavour to build a network of exemplary references and role models in which we can all see ourselves reflected. This we do via the organization of Awards Week, which this past year included 80 cultural events that counted on the participation of all the Laureates and the attendance of more than 40 000 people. Added to this are the activities of the tenth edition of the “Taking the Floor” educational programme, which received 7613 projects from 159 schools, from both the Principality of Asturias and other regions of Spain. The bestowal of the Exemplary Town of Asturias Award, the 14th Meeting of Exemplary Towns, the exhibition dedicated to the communities that have received this award and the concerts given by our Choir –especially that held to mark the 10th anniversary of the Proclamation of His Majesty King Felipe VI– complete a year that reflects our resolve and enthusiasm to continue to forge ahead. All of this has been made possible thanks to the commitment of so many people who share our enthusiasm. Here I wish to underscore the constant support of Their Majesties The King and Queen and Their Royal Highnesses The Princess of Asturias and Infanta Sofía, as well as the generosity of our Trustees and Patrons and the priceless work of our Award Juries. We thus reaffirm our commitment to service with the conviction that, thanks to this collective responsibility, we can contribute to making a lasting and truly valuable impact on society. Ana I.
