ACTO DE ENTREGA PRESENTATION OF THE AWARDS PREMIOS PRINCESA DE ASTURIAS | PRINCESS OF ASTURIAS AWARDS Ante la situación generada por la COVID-19, el acto de entrega de los Premios Princesa de Asturias 2020, presidido por SS. MM. los Reyes, en presencia de SS. AA. RR. la Princesa de Asturias y la Infanta Doña Sofía y con la asistencia de S. M. la Reina Doña Sofía, se celebró en el salón Covadonga del Hotel de la Reconquista con un aforo muy reducido y sin público. Durante el acto se proyectaron vídeos con mensajes de los galardonados que no pudieron viajar a Oviedo por las restricciones de movilidad. El salón Covadonga está estrechamente vinculado a la historia de la institución, pues en él, el 24 de septiembre de 1980, se firmó el acta de constitución de la Fundación Princesa de Asturias. Es, además, el escenario en el que se anuncian públicamente los fallos de los jurados encargados de la concesión de los premios y donde anualmente SS. MM. los Reyes reciben en audiencia a los galardonados. Due to the situation caused by COVID-19, the presentation of the 2020 Princess of Asturias Awards took place in the Salón Covadonga reception room at the Reconquista Hotel with a reduced number of participants and without the presence of an audience. Presided over by TM The King and Queen, the event also counted on the presence of TRH The Princess of Asturias and Infanta Sofía of Spain, as well as that of HM Queen Sofía. Videos featuring messages from the Laureates who were unable to travel to Oviedo due to mobility restrictions were screened during the event.
