ÁREA MUSICAL MUSIC DEPARTMENT Dentro de su empeño por contribuir al fomento de la cultura en sus más altas expresiones, la Fundación Princesa de Asturias creó en el año 1983 el Área Musical, de la que surgió un año después el Coro. Considerado como una destacada formación amateur, con el paso del tiempo y gracias al esfuerzo de sus directores y componentes, ha alcanzado un reconocido prestigio nacional e internacional. Desde su creación, ha sobrepasado el millar de conciertos organizados en España y diversas partes del mundo. As part of its endeavours to contribute to fostering culture at its highest levels of expression, the Princess of Asturias Foundation created a Music Department in 1983 which was to give rise, one year later, to the Choir. Considered an outstanding amateur ensemble, with the passing of time and thanks to the efforts of its conductors and members, it has achieved well-deserved national and international prestige.
