Spanish Federation of Food Banks

Prince of Asturias Award for Concord 2012

Statement by José Antonio Busto on the conferral of the Prince of Asturias Award for Concord on the Spanish Federation of Food Banks:

"As president of the Spanish Federation of Food Banks, I wish to express on behalf of the executive committee of FESBAL and the 2,000 volunteers of the 54 food banks that make up the federation our deepest gratitude for the honour that the prestigious 2012 Prince of Asturias Award for Concord supposes for us all. This recognition encourages us to continue working with more enthusiasm for the benefit of the needy. Without a doubt, this award will enable us to reach more people in need of support through our activities. We also consider it to entail recognition of the contribution made by the collection of charitable associations, institutions, companies and individuals that help us with their invaluable assistance."
