de la Fundación interpretó el
Réquiem
de Mozart junto
a la Orquesta Sinfónica del Principado de Asturias,
bajo la batuta del director Rossen Milanov y con la
participación de los solistas Ainhoa Arteta, Maite
Arruabarrena, Luis Dámaso y José Antonio López.
Escuela Internacional de Música
S.M. la Reina presidió el acto inaugural de los Cursos
de Verano 2014, eje fundamental de las actividades de
la Escuela Internacional de Música, que se celebraron
durante la segunda quincena del mes de julio. El
violinista libanés Ara Malikian fue el encargado de
pronunciar la conferencia inaugural, titulada “Músico,
la profesión más bonita del mundo”.
Un total de 167 alumnos recibieron clases de
profesores de doce nacionalidades, cuyo magisterio
abarca los instrumentos de la plantilla sinfónico-
orquestal, además de asignaturas de conjunto musical,

was joined by the Principality of Asturias Symphony
Orchestra (OSPA) to perform Mozart’s
Requiem
, under
the baton of conductor Rossen Milanov.
International Music School
HM The Queen presided over the inauguration of
the 2014 Summer Courses, the cornerstone of the
International Music School’s activities, which took
place during the second half of July. Lebanese violinist
Ara Malikian delivered the inaugural lecture, entitled
“Musician, the most beautiful profession in the world”.
One hundred and sixty-seven students in all were
taught by teachers from twelve different countries,
covering the standard range of symphonic orchestral
instruments, in addition to ensemble classes
for Chamber Music, String Quartet, Wind and Jazz
Ensembles, Little Band and Orchestral Conducting.
