MEMORIA 2014 PREMIOS PRÍNCIPE DE ASTURIAS. ORGANIZACIÓN
Convocatoria
Una vez celebrada la ceremonia de entrega de los
Premios Príncipe de Asturias 2013, la Fundación
convocó la trigésimo cuarta edición y abrió el
plazo de admisión de candidaturas a través de la
distribución internacional del Reglamento de esta
convocatoria. Se enviaron más de 2.400 ejemplares
del Reglamento de los Premios, editado en cinco
idiomas, y se remitieron alrededor de 700 invitaciones
electrónicas para presentar candidaturas. Los
destinatarios fueron los principales centros culturales
y de investigación, universidades y fundaciones
de todo el mundo, agencias y organismos oficiales
de ámbito supranacional, así como las embajadas
españolas en el extranjero y las representaciones
diplomáticas de otros países en España, además de los
galardonados de ediciones anteriores.
Reuniones de los jurados
Los jurados encargados de conceder los Premios
Príncipe de Asturias 2014 se reunieron durante
los meses de mayo, junio y septiembre en Oviedo.
Estuvieron integrados por 145 expertos en cada
uno de los ámbitos que cubren los galardones,
a excepción del de la Concordia, integrado por
miembros de los patronatos de la Fundación.

Jury Meetings
The Juries responsible for granting the 2014 Prince
of Asturias Awards met in Oviedo in May, June and
September. They were made up of a total of 145
experts in each of the areas covered by the Awards,
except for the Jury for the Award for Concord, which
was composed of members of the Boards of Trustees
of the Foundation.

Call for Nominations
Once the 2013 Awards Ceremony had been held,
the Foundation convened the 34th Prince
of Asturias Awards and opened the period
for submitting nominations by globally distributing
the regulations for this call. Over 2,400 copies
of the Regulations governing the Awards, edited
in five languages, were sent out and around
700 invitations to submit nominations were
emailed. The recipients were major cultural
and research centres, universities, foundations
and trusts worldwide, official agencies and
supranational bodies, Spanish embassies abroad
and the diplomatic missions of other countries
in Spain, as well as the laureates from
previous years.
