Princess of Asturias Awards 10/19/2015

Updated of general programme for the visit of TM The King and Queen of Spain on the occasion of the 2015 Princess

THURSDAY, 22nd OCTOBER

6:30pm HM The Queen will attend the tribute to filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola, Princess of Asturias Award for the Arts, which will take place in the Jovellanos Theatre. Film director Rodrigo Cortés will chair the meeting, which will feature a performance by a quartet led by Carlos Núñez and the participation of actress Maribel Verdú, star of Tetro, one of Coppola’s latest films.
(HM The Queen will subsequently go on to the Prince Felipe Auditorium, in Oviedo, where the 24th Princess of Asturias Awards Concert is being held).

7.30 horas: HM The King will preside over the 24th Princess of Asturias Awards Concert, organized by the Princess of Asturias Foundation in collaboration with the Cajastur Liberbank Foundation. The concert will be held in the Prince Felipe Auditorium in Oviedo. The Princess of Asturias Foundation Choir will perform Giacomo Puccini’s Messa a quattro voci, better known as the Messa di Gloria, alongside the Oviedo Filarmonía under the baton of conductor Marzio Conti, with the participation of tenor Ramón Vargas and baritone David Menéndez
