Princess of Asturias Awards 10/14/2020

Press conferences to be given by the Laureates

These will also be broadcast live over the Foundation’s website

The 2020 Princess of Asturias Awards Laureates will give press conferences during their stay in Asturias, which will be broadcast over the Foundation’s website: www.fpa.es/en.

As a consequence of the health emergency situation resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic and with the aim of minimizing the risk of the spread of the virus, all press conferences will take place online.

In addition, access to the hall at the Reconquista Hotel will not be allowed on Friday 16th October. A press room will be set up in the hotel’s Milsetecientos52 restaurant, where screens will be installed to follow the event. (Entrance via Calle Ventura Rodríguez).

PLEASE NOTE

  • No news writers or photojournalists will be allowed to be present in person.
  • Link: via the ZOOM platform. Only accredited journalists will be allowed access.
  • - The online press room (OPR) will open to the press 1 hour before the start of the press conference so that they may connect and carry out the appropriate tests. Access to the OPR will close 10 minutes before the start of the press conference.
  • Everyone must log on with their name and that of the media to which they belong.
  • Only accredited journalists will be allowed access.
  • The Foundation will make the live signal for the press conferences available to the media:

  • 10:30am. Emmanuel Candès, Princess of Asturias Laureate for Technical and Scientific Research.
  • 6:30pm. The Hay Festival of Literature & Arts, Princess of Asturias Award for Communication and Humanities: Cristina Fuentes La Roche, Director for Latin America and International Projects, and María Sheila Cremaschi, Director for Spain.
FRIDAY 16th OCTOBER
  • 10:00am. Carlos Sainz, Princess of Asturias Laureate for Sports.
