Princess of Asturias Awards 10/15/2020

RTVE to provide the official host signal for the solemn presentation of the Princess of Asturias Awards

 The press conferences to be given by the Laureates will be broadcast over the Internet

As on previous occasions, the Spanish public service television and radio companies Televisión Española (TVE) and Radio Nacional de España (RNE) will be responsible for providing the official host signals for the solemn presentation of the Princess of Asturias Awards, to be held in the Salón Covadonga reception room at the Reconquista Hotel this coming Friday 16th October, starting at 6:30pm. TVE will also be providing the television signal for the audience of the Laureates with TM The King and Queen, The Princess of Asturias and Infanta Sofía of Spain, which will take place at 12:30pm on Friday in the Patio de los Gatos courtyard at the same hotel.

Access to the hall at the Reconquista Hotel will not be allowed on Friday 16th October.
A press room will be set up in the hotel’s Milsetecientos52 restaurant, where screens will be installed to follow the event. (Entrance via Calle Ventura Rodríguez).

AWARDS WEKK EVENTS:

  • Symphony Concert tribute to Ennio Morricone and John Williams. Andrea Morricone and Óliver Díaz are to conduct the Principality of Asturias Symphony Orchestra (OSPA), which will perform works by the composers jointly conferred with the 2020 Princess of Asturias Award for the Arts, Ennio Morricone and John Williams. The event will take place at 8:30pm on Thursday 15th October in the Sánchez del Río/Canons building at La Vega Arms Factory.

    The Foundation will provide a signal covering the first ten minutes of each part of the concert via distributors (SD-SDI and HD-HDI signal with embedded audio) located in the same building for any media that may wish to broadcast it. No television cameras will be allowed at the event. Coverage will not be broadcast via streaming.

    • PHOTOGRAPHERS: These may take pictures during the first 5 minutes of each of the two parts of the concert, although the use of camera flashes will not be allowed. Sound blimps will have to be activated.
    • TElEVISION NETWORKS: The Foundation will provide television networks with the video signal via a distributor (SD-SDI and HD-SD signal) to cover the event during the first 10 minutes of each of the two parts of the concert. No television cameras will be allowed access to the venue where the concert is to be held.
    • NEWS WRITERS: only one news writer will be allowed access per media. News writers who wish to stay for the entire event must previously notify the Foundation’s Communications Department.
  • “Champions Round Table”. A meeting in which Carlos Sainz Cenamor, 2020 Princess of Asturias Laureate for Sports, will offer a tour of different aspects of motor racing. The event will take place at 12 noon on Saturday 17th October in the Warehouse building at La Vega Arms Factory.

    TPA will provide a signal covering the first 10 minutes from the moment the pilot appears via audio and video distributors (HD-SDI signal with embedded audio) located in the same building for any media that may wish to broadcast it.

All the press conferences given by the Laureates will be broadcast live via the ZOOM platform and will be relayed over the Foundation’s website.
