The Prince of Asturias Foundation launches its official Facebook page

The content includes more than 1,300 photographs and diverse videos, such as the first speech by HRH The Prince os Asturias.

The Prince of Asturias Foundation has launched its official Facebook page (www.facebook.com/fpa) with the goal of being in contact with the users of this social network, which now exceed one thousand million worldwide.

Through this new social profile of the Foundation's, users will be able to access different multimedia contents, some of them unpublished and only available on this platform. The channel contains more than 1,300 images that reflect the history of the institution from its origins to the present day through the Prince of Asturias Awards, in addition to interactive features on the laureates. It also includes a selection of videos with speeches by HRH The Prince of Asturias, including the first speech he gave in public in 1981, as well as videos of the laureates covering the more than thirty years of history of the Foundation.

The Music Department and the Exemplary Town of Asturias Award are also present in this virtual community, which will be regularly updated with news, schedules of events and other items of interest. The section referring to the Exemplary Town Award incorporates the Google Maps tool to geographically locate the beneficiaries of this award of regional scope.

Thanks to this new communication tool, the Prince of Asturias Foundation has established a new channel for the exchange of knowledge and information, which joins existing ones, such as its profile on the microblogging network Twitter (www.twitter.com/fpa_es), its page on the YouTube video channel (www.youtube.com/fpamultimedia) besides the Foundation website itself and its Multimedia Channel.
