The Princess of Asturias Foundation publishes an e-book with speeches given by HM The King at the Prince of Asturias Awards Ceremonies between 1981 and 2014

The Princess of Asturias Foundation has published an e-book containing speeches given by HM The King at the thirty-four Prince of Asturias Awards Ceremonies held between 1981 and 2014, the year of his proclamation as King of Spain. That same year, both the Foundation and its Awards were renamed the Princess of Asturias Foundation and the Princess of Asturias Awards when HRH Leonor de Borbón became Honorary President of the institution.

The book opens with some words by HM The King and a text by the President of the Foundation, Matías Rodríguez Inciarte. It also contains excerpts from speeches given by Laureates at the Campoamor Theatre over this period.

The chapter corresponding to the first speech, delivered in 1981 and which was the first he gave in public as Prince of Asturias at the age of 13, contains a reproduction of the original manuscript in his own handwriting.

The volume, entitled Prince of Asturias Awards Ceremony 1981-2014. Speeches, includes an index of subjects with over 400 terms and another of names containing around 900 items. The book is also available in Spanish under the title Premios Príncipe de Asturias 1981-2014. Discursos.
