Princess of Asturias Awards 10/19/2021

Update - Programme of cultural events marking the presentation of the 2021 Princess of Asturias Awards

The "Learn - Thrive - Lead" event, featuring representatives from CAMFED, 2021 Princess of Asturias Award for International Cooperation will be held in the Cannons Building at the La Vega Arms Factory.

The "Feeding Humanity. Asturias Central Kitchen" event, featuring José Andrés, 2021 Princess of Asturias Laureate for Concord, will be held in the Warehouse Building at the La Vega Arms Factory.

The media is informed below of the changes in the “Awards Week” cultural programme, which now includes two new locations for the already announced events with representatives of CAMFED - Campaign for Foreign Education and with José Andrés, respectively (marked in red).

THURSDAY 21st OCTOBER

11:00am   Taking the Floor. “Learn - Thrive - Lead”. CAMFED - Campaign for Female Education. Representatives of the organization will meet with 3rd- and 4th-year secondary school and pre-university students who participated in this “Taking the Floor” cultural programme activity for schools.

12 noon   Taking the Floor. “Feed humanity. Asturias Central Kitchen”. José Andrés and World Central Kitchen. José Andrés will meet with vocational training students from the area of Hospitality and Tourism related to Cooking, Restaurants and Gastronomy who have participated in the activity aimed at learning about the work of José Andrés and the World Central Kitchen (WCK) within the “Taking the Floor” educational programme for schools.
