50 nominations encompassing 21 different nationalities are in the running for this Award, the first of eight international awards that are bestowed each year by the Princess of Asturias Foundation, now in their 44th year

321 nominations had been submitted as of 7th March
He was conferred the Award in 2010 for “his audacity in structuring –from his minimalist perspective– the most significant spaces at an international scale through works of great visual power that are an invitation to reflection and wonder”

The deadline for submitting nominations closed yesterday, Thursday, 7th March
An audiovisual piece on artistic creation, inspired by Carmen Linares and María Pagés, joint Princess of Asturias Laureates for the Arts in 2022.
The screening, which will take place on 8th March at the Teatro Echegaray, will be attended by both artists.
Held today at the Reconquista Hotel in Oviedo, chaired by Ana I. Fernández
