The Need for Poetry. Dialogues on Uselessness

Place: La Vega Arms Factory. Arts and Crafts building. Oviedo
Duration: 45 minutes
Aurelio González Ovies, poet and lecturer in Latin Philology at the University of Oviedo, and María Esther García López, President of the Asturian Association of Writers, will reflect on the importance of poetry throughout life and as part of education from childhood onwards. Pupils from the CP La Luna state primary school and the “TraVersuras Poéticas” workshop imparted within the University of Oviedo Mature Students Programme (PUMUO) will participate in the event with the reading of some poems.
