Meeting with heads of the International Conference of the Red Cross and Red Crescent
Date and time: Thursday, 25 October 2012. 07:30PM h.
Place: Dome of the Niemeyer Centre, in Avilés (Avenida del Zinc, s/n.).
Admission by invitation only. Tickets will be available from Saturday, 20th October on (maximum 2 per person).
Meeting between heads of the International Conference of the Red Cross and Red Crescent and media correspondents. Olivier Vodoz, Vice-President of the International Committee of the Red Cross, and Jaslin Salmon, Vice-President of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, will hold a talk with several media correspondents. Ángeles Espinosa, El País correspondent for the Middle East, Carlos Franganillo, TVE correspondent in Moscow and Adela Mac Swiney, Chief European correspondent for Notimex, will take part in the talk, which will be chaired by the journalist Rosa Maria Calaf. This event will address the role played by what is considered the largest international humanitarian network in the various conflicts and natural disasters affecting millions of people worldwide.
This event will have a sign language interpreter and a magnetic loop for people with hearing impairment. It will also be broadcast live on the Foundation website via streaming video.
