Taking the Floor: “Paper Fortresses”, with Shigeru Ban.

Place: Colegio Auseva school. Oviedo.
The 2022 Princess of Asturias Laureate for Concord will meet with 3rd- and 4th-year secondary and pre-university students who participated in the “Taking the Floor” cultural programme activity. Based on the sustainable materials used by Ban in his constructions, the students had to conceive a building, space, element or useful object for the community and set out the description of their idea in the form of a report. This consisted of a physical or virtual model accompanied by a text with the details of the project, which had to be sustainable in terms of waste generation, energy consumption or recycling. The activity could be carried out in Spanish or English.
Duration: 60 minutes.
