Place: Warehouse. La Vega Arms Factory (Calle Marcelino Fernández, Oviedo).
Admission restricted to pupils and teachers from the participating schools. Conducted by Teresa Valdés Solís.
Joanne Chory and Sandra Myrna Díaz, joint 2019 Princess of Asturias Laureates for Technical and Scientific Research, will meet with primary, secondary and pre-university students. The activity carried out by the older students was that of creating a comic based on Joanne Chory’s project on how superplant development could mitigate the effects of climate change. The primary students had to create a herbarium to learn about the natural heritage of their area, taking inspiration from Sandra Díaz’s research and her defence of plant diversity.
