Zero to Hunger. “Taking the Floor” cultural programme for schools.

Date and time: Thursday, 19 October 2023. 11:30AM h.

Place: Patronato San José school. Calle de los Ángeles, 2. Gijón.

Admission strictly by invitation only.

A representative or representatives of Mary’s Meals will meet with some of the teachers and students of 5th and 6th year primary and secondary pupils who have participated in the “Taking the Floor” cultural programme for schools activity inspired by the organization’s work.

Entitled "Zero to Hunger”, the idea of the activity for primary students consisted in making a graphic interpretation of the organization’s achievements under the title “This is Mary’s Meals” and the making of a blue cup (characteristic of the organization) out of cardboard that includes a message inspired by the organization’s work. The secondary students were invited to graphically interpret –in cartoon vignettes, scenes or comics–- the magnitude and impact of the work carried out by Mary’s Meals and their reflections on the dimension, importance and differentiating features of the organization’s work.

  • Admission strictly by invitation only.
  • Patronato San José school. Calle de los Ángeles, 2. Gijón.
  • Duration: 75 minutes.
