Press conference and arrival schedule of the laureates in Asturias

The Laureates will arrive between 19th and 23rd October

The recipients of the 2025 Princess of Asturias Awards will begin to arrive in the Principality of Asturias next Sunday 19th October, prior to the Awards Ceremony, which will be held at the Campoamor Theatre in Oviedo the following Friday 24th October.

Graciela Iturbide, Princess of Asturias Laureate for the Arts; Eduardo Mendoza, Princess of Asturias Laureate for Literature; Mary-Claire King, Princess of Asturias Laureate for Technical and Scientific Research; and Antonio Saborit, director of the National Museum of Anthropology of Mexico, Princess of Asturias Award for Concord, will be the first to arrive in Asturias.

The schedule for Princess of Asturias Laureate for Sports Serena Williams will be announced once it is finalized.

Besides featuring in different cultural events throughout the week, this year’s Laureates will hold several meetings with the press, as detailed below.

All press conferences will be held in the Reconquista Hotel’s screening room (“Salón de Proyecciones”), the entrance to which is in Calle Arquitecto Reguera.
