Transport for the Bestowal of the 2026 Exemplary Town of Asturias Award on the Santa Ana Fishermen's guild

Transport for the media

The Princess of Asturias Foundation will provide transport for journalists who wish to attend the Exemplary Town of Asturias Award Ceremony on Saturday 24th October for the bestowal of the Award on the Santa Ana Fishermen's Guild (Llanes) by Their Majesties The King and Queen and Their Royal Highnesses The Princess of Asturias and Infanta Sofía.

Two minibuses will depart at 9:00am from the Credentials Office located in the Barceló Oviedo Cervantes Hotel (calle Cervantes, 13). Those wishing to use this means of transport must confirm with the Foundation’s Communications and Press Department (Tel: 985 25 87 55 and prensa@fpa.es) before 2:00pm on Friday 23rd October.

Access by private car

Accredited journalists who wish to travel to Llanes by private car must leave their vehicle in the areas designated by the Foundation in the La Atalá carpark. The number of spaces in this carpark is limited and access will be closed at 10:15am. A minibus will take them from there at 10.25am to the area where the institutional event is to be held.

Return to Oviedo

The return journey will take place at the close of events (around 1:45pm) from the El Sablón Beach carpark: one minibus will take the attendees to Oviedo and another minibus will leave for the airport.

Press pool

The media are informed of possible press pools at points along the route due to limited space. The Foundation will provide high-resolution digital photographs via its Press Office to those media outlets that request them.

Audio signal

The Foundation will provide interested media outlets with the audio signal of the institutional ceremony for the bestowal of the Exemplary Town of Asturias Award. The audio signal outlets will be located next to the platforms reserved for the press, in the port area, where the institutional event will take place.

Technical data for the television signal

The Principality of Asturias Television Corporation (TPA) will provide the pool signal, which includes only the institutional ceremony of the bestowal of the Award and speeches, ending with the Asturian anthem. Coverage for the remainder of the visit will be personalized and its use is restricted.
