Agri.cultures. Closing event of the “Taking the Floor” cultural programme for schools. Svalbard Global Seed Vault

Representing the Svalbard Global Seed Vault, Stefan Schmitz (Crop Trust Executive Director), Grethe Helene Evjen (Norwegian Ministry of Agriculture and Food) and Fuad Gaši (Coordinator of the Svalbard Global Seed Vault, NordGen) will hold a meeting with a group of students and teachers from the schools that have participated during September and October in the activity related to their work, “Agri.cultures”, forming part of the “Taking the Floor” cultural programme proposed by the Foundation.
Structured around three different activities aimed at different ages, the proposal was to become acquainted with the cultural heritage inherent in some varieties of seeds from the Asturian market garden and countryside preserved in Svalbard, as the international cooperation aspect of the Vault.
