Ghibli: A Breath of Fresh Air. Closing event of the “Taking the Floor” cultural programme for schools. Studio Ghibli

Admission: Restricted to schools participating in the “Taking the Floor” programme.
The closing event for the “Ghibli, a Breath of Fresh Air” activity, forming part of the “Taking the Floor” cultural programme for schools. A delegation of Visual Arts, Image and Design secondary and baccalaureate students and Image and Sound vocational training students and teachers from the participating schools has been invited to take part in the event. Inspired by the philosophy and universe of Japanese animation, the activity challenged students to create their own artwork that would bring to life a sequence of hand-drawn illustrations using a traditional animation technique or device.
Kenichi Yoda, President of Studio Ghibli, and Takeshi Honda, animator at Studio Ghibli and animation supervisor of the Oscar-winning film The Boy and the Heron, will participate in this event.
Moderator: Alfonso Palacio, Jury member for the 2026 Princess of Asturias Award for the Arts, Deputy Director of Conservation and Research at the Prado Museum, Madrid.
