My Friend Susuwatari Workshop. Studio Ghibli
Date and time:
Location: La Vega Arms Factory. Workshop building. Oviedo.
Admission: Online registration.
Inspired by the endearing Susuwatari from the Studio Ghibli universe, 2026 Princess of Asturias Award for Communication and Humanities, this workshop proposes creating a cute handmade keychain from a black wool pompom. The Susuwatari, or “soot balls”, are small black, furry beings that appear in the films My Neighbor Totoro and Spirited Away. Each participant will bring their own creature to life by adding felt eyes and the final details before attaching the keyring device. A fun, creative activity to take home a little companion born from the imagination of Ghibli.
