People Have the Power. A choral surprise for Patti Smith
Date and time:
Location: La Vega Arms Factory. Yard. Oviedo.
Admission: By invitation and online registration.
This activity is a collective action open to the public which aims to surprise Patti Smith. A broad representation of the region’s many choirs –made up of groups associated with the Federation of Choirs of Asturias (Fecora)– and hundreds of anonymous voices will come together to sing with the Laureate People Have the Power, one of her most emblematic songs. Music, words and participation come together in this tribute to an artist who throughout her career has defended the power of creation and the involvement of people in building a freer and fairer society.
