Stefan Schmitz (Crop Trust Executive Director), Grethe Helene Evjen (Norwegian Ministry of Agriculture and Food), and Fuad Gaši (Coordinator of the Svalbard Global Seed Vault, NordGen), responsible for the Svalbard Global Seed Vault, 2026 Princess of Asturias Award for International Cooperation, will feature in a meeting to discuss the history of this unique refuge located in the Arctic, designed to safeguard millions of seeds from around the world and ensure that future generations have the necessary resources to face food crises, conflicts or the effects of climate change.
