2025 Princess of Asturias Award for International Cooperation

Throughout his career as an economist and statesman, Mario Draghi has been considered a key figure in the defence of European integration and international cooperation. Hailed by some as “the saviour of the euro”, his work as ECB President was widely recognized for his firm commitment to the stability of the single currency and to the fundamental values of the European Union (2017 Princess of Asturias Award for Concord).
