Conceived as a sound garden, this commented concert aims to sow in the audience the seed of curiosity to learn about Byung-Chul Han’s philosophy. Through brief excerpts from his works –especially The Tonality of Thought and Praise to the Earth– the programme is interwoven with specially selected repertoire to illustrate from the piano Han’s fascination with gardening, flowers and connection to the earth. A musical evocation of the garden as an intimate space of calm, transcendence and resistance to the ferocity of the modern world.
