Statement by Graciela Iturbide after the awarding of the Princess of Asturias Award for the Arts 2025

“I was truly delighted to receive the news that I had been granted the 2025 Princess of Asturias Award for the Arts. I feel both honoured and proud, and am accordingly profoundly grateful to the Royal Family, the Jury for the Award and, in general, to Spain, a country close to my heart.  This Award recognizes not only my individual work, but also that of all Mexican photographic artists.”
